Shenzhen Futian Foreign Languages High School is a public high school founded in 1998. After years of exemplary teaching, the high school has been named as a Top School of Guangdong, an Excellent Teaching High School of Guangdong, and a Guangdong National Model High School for the last thirteen years. Accordingly, its reputation is excellent; it is known as a modern, international, diversified, and high-quality school.

Our educational mission is to lay a foundation for students’ lives and in doing so, to take responsibility for the national future. Quaint environment

學校位于深圳市中心區(qū)——福田區(qū)南端，地處深圳市最大社區(qū)益田村內(nèi)，北靠蓮花山，南臨深圳灣，東鄰皇崗口岸，西望紅樹林，地理位置優(yōu)越，交通十分便利。校園內(nèi)每一個角落精心設(shè)計裝點，樹木長綠，花草芬芳，環(huán)境幽雅，素有“花園式學校”的美稱，是讀書求學施教的理想之所。

The school is conveniently located in downtown Shenzhen at the southern end of the Futian District in Yitian Village. To the north of the school is the beautiful tourist destination Lotus Hill. To the south of the school is Shenzhen Bay and to the east is Huanggang Port. Known as The Garden School, the campus is decorated with a changing array of fragrant flowers and elegant trees. It is an ideal location for studying and teaching.

Our faculty is comprised of 178 full-time teachers. Among them are 8 Top Teachers, 4 recipients of national teaching excellence awards, 1 recipient of the national model teacher award, 1 recipient of the excellent teachers of southern Guandong award, 9 state-level key teachers, 8 recipients of outstanding provincial teacher awards, 12 provincial key teachers, 10 recipients of excellent teachers of Shenzhen awards, 4 recipients of municipial excellence awards, and 10 recipients of the Academic Leaders of Shenzhen award. 84 of the teachers (47.2%) are senior faculty. 101 teachers (56.7%) are Party members.

The school aims to promote students holistic development with its special teaching methodology. In the classroom, we seek to promote values of independent thought, democracy, and social harmony. Students are taught to acquire a modern awareness of themselves as citizens of the world. The school’s curriculum is based on an efficient system of specialized classes that give students equal exposure to different disciplines in the humanities. Students are taught self-management, self-service, and self-improvement. In doing so, we are committed to helping every student realize their full potential.

外語特色鮮明

Foreign Language Distinction

作為外國語高級中學，除了開設(shè)國家規(guī)定的普通中學全部課程外，學校強化外語教學，突出外語特色，引進杜克高中國際課程（簡稱DKIP），開辦國際課程班，將中國高中學生申請美國大學需要的SAT課程及大學預科AP課程納入學校課程體系；引進歌德學院（中國）“歌德課堂”項目，開設(shè)德語課程，將日語、德語、西班牙語作為第二外語，學校還將開設(shè)俄、法等小語種，實行多元化、小班化外語教學。學校常年聘請專職外籍教師來校授課，與國際學生交流協(xié)會(簡稱“YFU”)長期合作，先后有來自美國、德國、荷蘭、比利時、瑞士、奧地利、愛沙尼亞等國的交流生來我校學習。

學校將進一步強化教育教學國際合作，推進國際化課程建設(shè)，引進境外師資和課程資源，合作培訓教師隊伍，創(chuàng)建通向國外名牌大學的綠色通道，培養(yǎng)高素質(zhì)復合型預備英才。

As a foreign languages high school, we attach a great deal of importance to foreign language acquisition. With the recent introduction of the DK International Program (DKIP), the school provides students with a foundation in general and academic English as well as preparation for AP tests and the SATs in order to prepare them to apply for studies in American universities. We also offer instruction in Japanese and, with the Goethe Classroom Project, German language instruction. We will soon introduce lectures on Russian, French, and other important world languages. We hire full-time foreign teachers and participate in the International Student Association (referred to as “YFU”). We host foreign exchange students from the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Estonia, and other countries. As we move forward, we will continue to strengthen our international cooperation by introducing new foreign teachers and curriculum resources, and by cooperating in the training of international teachers. In this way, we will strive to pave the way for our students to study at prestigious overseas universities.
